Major: Associate of Science in Social Sciences at Reynolds Community College


The Associate of Science in Associate of Science in Social Sciences is part of the Social Sciences, General program at Reynolds Community College

The study Social Science focuses on the study of groups of people and their behavior. It looks at how people are the same or not alike. It looks at the role of those people, their groups, and their practices. It also uses a method based in science to look at its research. The main areas of study are: the study of people and their cultures, the study of how buying and selling affects people, the study of government policy, the study of the mind and behavior, and the study of people and their cultures. The Social Sciences AS degree is created for a student who plans to transfer to a 4-year college. These courses provide a path that will transfer and match courses at a 4-year college. Each student is urged to find out what courses are needed at the transfer college. Each student at the college is assigned an advisor who help them plan the best courses to take and to find out what courses will transfer. A student who completes the program often transfers as 3rd year student.
