Studies hydraulic components and their integration into complex systems including system analysis and troubleshooting. Introduces design considerations necessary for repair and modification. Covers closed loop control and proportional valves with electronic control.
Credits 2 - 3. Lecture1 - 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 3 -4 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

The course teaches identification of hydraulic components and their integration into complex systems. Students are introduced to different design considerations necessary for repair and/or modification of hydraulic systems with closed loop control. The course covers hydraulic systems using proportional valves with electronic system control. Students develop skills in hydraulic system analysis and trouble-shooting.
