MUS 236 - Advanced Applied Music - Voice
Continues MUS 126. Private lessons are available for either 1 or 2 hours of credit per semester. The length of the lessons will be 1/2 hour for 1 hour credit and 1 hour for 2 hours credit per semester. All courses in applied music may be repeated for a total of 8 hours for the major and 4 hours for the minor. Laboratory 1-2 hours per week. & MUS 237 CHORUS (1 CR.) Continues MUS 137. Courses in ensemble consist of performance from the standard repertoires, including study of ensemble techniques and interpretation. Divisional approval required. May be repeated for credit.

Applied Music fee of $450 due to the Norfolk Campus Business Office at the time of tuition payment. Financial aid may be used. This lesson is a private one hour session scheduled at a mutually agreeable time. Meeting times for this course will be determined by the availability of student and instructor. Meeting locations can be face-to-face (preferred) or online-synchronous (optional). If a student (or faculty member) is concerned about their health in a face-to-face environment during COVID-19, online synchronous lessons will be utilized. Due to COVID-19, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be required while on campus and in the classroom. Additional information for specific PPE requirements will be available on the TCC website and included in the course syllabus.
This course is conducted online in real time with scheduled meeting days and times as published in the class schedule, supplemented with online asynchronous (anytime) computer coursework. Student participation in the synchronous (real time) sessions may be required. Specific expectations regarding real time sessions will be communicated by the faculty. Students are required to have reliable and daily access to a computer and internet service.
