Teaches the fundamentals of electricity, terminology and symbols, diagrams; the principles essential to the understanding of general practices, safety and the practical aspects of residential and non-residential wiring, electrical installation as it relates to the fire protection systems industry.
Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the basic concepts of electricity, wiring and fire alarm system design, installation, operation, testing and maintenance.
