GEO 195 - Topics In
Provides an opportunity to explore topical areas of interest to or needed by students.
May be used also for special honors courses. May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.

GEO 200 - Introduction to Physical Geography
Studies major elements of the natural environment including earth sun relationship, land forms, weather and climate, natural vegetation and soils. Introduces the student to types and uses of maps.
Lecture 3 hours per week.

GEO 210 - People and the Land: Intro to Cultural Geography
Focuses on the relationship between culture and geography. Presents a survey of modern demographics, landscape modification, material and non-material culture, language, race and ethnicity, religion, politics, and economic activities. Introduces the student to types and uses of maps.

GEO 221 - Regions of the World I
Presents an overview of physical and cultural characteristics of selected geographical regions of the world. Focuses upon significant problems within each of the regions. Studies the European cultural sphere including Europe, Soviet Union, the Americas and Australia and the emerging nations in Africa, Southwest Asia and the Orient. Introduces the student to types and uses of maps. Part I of II.
