Course Description
Explores classical and contemporary styles of ballet. Teaches ballet as a discipline with correct alignment and ballet form. Expresses movement through traditional dance form with choreographic emphasis. Part I of II. May be repeated up to 4 times for credit.
Laboratory 2 hours. Total 2 hours per week.

General Course Purpose
DAN 166 provides opportunities for students to actively participate in ballet technique classes. Students will continue to learn the vocabulary of ballet movements and further develop their technical skills.
