ITE 115 - Introduction to Computer Applications and Concepts
Covers computer concepts and internet skills, and uses a software suite which includes word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software to demonstrate skills. Recommended prerequisite keyboarding skills. This course applies to career/technical education (CTE) programs. ITE 152 serves both transfer and CTE programs.

ITE 119 - Information Literacy
Presents the information literacy core competencies focusing on the use of information technology skills. Skills and knowledge will be developed in database searching, computer applications, information security and privacy, and intellectual property issues. ITE 120 - Principles of Information Systems
Provides an overview of the fundamentals of computer information systems. Focuses on the role of computers in business today including hardware, software, analysis, design and implementation of information systems. Includes an introduction to computer ethics, and business and personal security. Exposes students to techniques used in programming and system development. Utilizes a hands-on component for spreadsheets, databases, and web design applications.

ITE 135 - Artificial Intelligence Awareness
Provides instruction in the basics of artificial intelligence (AI) including the complexities of AI, machine and deep learning, and neural networks. Provides students with a clear understanding of history, terminology, concepts, and mechanisms driving AI technologies. Explores how AI is applied in various occupational fields through a blend of theoretical knowledge and case studies.

Provides a working knowledge of a commercial spreadsheet package to include design and development of a variety of worksheets, preparing graphs, working with database queries, macro writing, menu techniques, and decision analysis tools.

ITE 152 - Introduction to Digital and Information Literacy and Computer Applications
Develops understanding of digital and information literacy. Introduces basic computer concepts in hardware, software, cyber, cloud, database, and operating systems. Includes hands-on experience developing word processing, spreadsheet and presentation documents. Evaluates the reliability of sources. Covers creating a simple web page. Examines topics such as social, legal, and ethical issues. This is a UCGS transfer course.

ITE 153 - Artificial Intelligence, Ethics and Governance
Explores ethical considerations surrounding the development, deployment, and use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Examines ethical theories, privacy concerns, biases, human rights implications, transparency challenges, governance frameworks and anticipated ethical issues emerging with advancing AI capabilities. Utilizes case studies to introduce students to ethically responsible practices and strategies for addressing ethical dilemmas in the rapidly evolving field of AI.

ITE 160 - Introduction to E-Commerce
Studies the culture and demographics of the Internet, on-line business strategies and the hardware and software tools necessary for Internet commerce. Includes the identification of appropriate target segments, the development of product opportunities, pricing structures, distribution channels over the Internet, and the execution of marketing strategy in computer- mediated environments. Presents case histories of successful Web applications.
