AMT 162 - Independent Rotax Maintenance Technician (iRMT) 912 Series Service

Course Description

Delivers line maintenance and operator's manual content. Includes locating and interpreting communication and publication information, executing basic service, inspecting the general condition of the propeller gearbox, verifying friction torque, demonstrating carburetor synchronization, needle adjustment and compression tests; covers performing inspections and testing the run of the engine.
Lecuture 1 hour. Total 1 hour per week.

General Course Purpose

To prepare students with basic proficiency and pre-requisite experience required to perform routine maintenance up to an annual condition inspection on Rotax 912 Series engines. This course will enhance the training for a Light Sport Aircraft Repairman or Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic by providing service training on the Rotax 912 Series engine.
