Continues to develop fluency through emphasis on idioms and other complex sentence structures. Part II of II.

General Course Purpose
This course continues to develop language proficiency in the three modes of communication: interpretive, presentational and interpersonal in both formal and informal settings and with more complex sentence structures. The goal of the course is to practice idiomatic expressions and formal and informal styles of communication, negotiate meaning with native speakers and increase oral proficiency.
Course Prerequisites/Corequisites
Prerequisites: GER 211 or assessment by instructor.
Course Objectives
- Linguistic Proficiency
- Continue to strengthen their command of the target language, focusing on improving speaking and listening skills.
- Demonstrate comprehension of authentic materials, including literary and non-fiction texts and films.
- Cultural Awareness
- Continue to develop and demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the cultural diversity of countries where the target language is spoken.
- Explore customs, traditions, history, and contemporary issues from various communities where the target language is spoken.
- Identify and make connections with the cultures of the target language and their own

- Apply critical thinking skills to solve problems and make sense of complex issues.
