MEC 169 - Steam Systems

Introduces the components, principles and applications of various commercial and industrial steam and thermal controlled systems. Covers how to calculate and measure pressure, flow and system performance.
Credits 2 - 3. Lecture 1 - 2 hours. Lab 2 hours. Total 3 - 4 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

The course teaches the installation applications and maintenance of commercial and industrial steam and thermal controlled systems. Course also covers identification and operation of system components and how to calculate pressure, flow and system performance.
