Studies normal and abnormal variations in children from infancy to adolescence. Covers milestones in all aspects of growth, development and common childhood disorders using the family-centered approach.
Lecture 2 hours. Total 2 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

This course is design to promote the understanding of the pediatric population normal growth and development, covering normal childhood variances and common childhood diseases and illnesses; both acquired and inherited. Focuses on care of the child both in a hospital setting and at home and special considerations within the pediatric populations. This is a 2 credit course, this course does not have a lab / clinical component.
