RPK 105 - Trail Planning and Design

Course Description

Introduces trail planning concepts including location assessment, planning, documenting and diagramming the trail. Covers basic elements of the layout and initial design of the trail. Presents the basic concepts of planning trailheads and river access areas and project marketing.
Lecture 2 hours per week. 2 credits.

General Course Purpose

To provide the student who is interested in participating in a trail building project with an introductory overview of the necessary requirements that one needs to consider and execute before building a trail.
