Course Description

Reviews selected Russian literary and cultural expressions and equips students with the tools and methodologies to critically analyze a variety of genres. Identify and discuss themes, topics, structures, and literary techniques used to represent the shared experiences of Russian cultures in the target language.
Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

The purpose of this course is to introduce intermediate-to-advanced Russian language students to a basic background for understanding unique features of Russian literature and focus on the development of methods for critical analysis and discussion while continuing to develop fluency skills in Russian. This course is taught in the target language.
