WEL 244 - Weld Testing and Codes

Covers non-destructive (NDT) weld testing and how it plays a critical role in assuring that structural components and materials meet specified requirements. Examines how and why these NDT processes are used and will use them to test welds and weldments.
Lecture 1 hour, Laboratory 3 hours, Total 4 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

The purpose of this course is to teach students how to do non-destructive (NDT) testing on welds and materials to insure quality in the welds made and materials used.
