Involves process of research, authentication, and determining provenance. Covers examples of furnishings, fixtures, textiles, glass, and ceramics. May provide field trips, lectures, examination, and discussion to assist in determining age, condition, and other properties.

No prerequisites. Course covers a variety of decorative ARTS including glass, ceramics, and silver. Course does not cover furniture which is cover in IDS 109 styles of furniture off campus visits outside of regular class hours may be required.
