- UMS 111 - Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) I
- Introduces students to the history of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS), surveys current platforms, applications, components, and sensors. Covers the theory of flight, operations, manual flight, maintenance, and required record keeping. Introduces mission planning, crew management, and autonomous control. Emphasizes the ethical, legal, and safe use of sUAS.Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.

This class will meet at different TCC campus locations and will change weekly. The locations will be indicated on the syllabus. Transportation to the campuses will be required. This is a hybrid class with a number of on-campus meetings, as determined by the faculty. The course is supplemented with online computer coursework that requires access to reliable Internet service. |
