Examines principles and concepts of chemistry with an emphasis on applications useful to engineers. Includes stoichiometry; atomic struture; chemical equations and reactions; chemical bonding and molecular structure, gases, liquids, and solids; materials science; chemical thermodynamics; kinetics: equilibrium; electro-chemistry; and polymers. Prerequisite:
CHM 01 or equivalent.
Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
