HMS 100 - Introduction to Human Services
Introduces human service agencies, roles and careers. Presents an historical perspective of the field as it relates to human services today. Additional topics include values clarification and needs of target populations.

Students may attend this class in person, remotely via Zoom (synchronously), or online (asynchronously). Students who choose the online option will be required to meet with the instructor during the first two weeks of class and coordinate a group assignment with peers attending in person.
his course is part of a project called Follett ACCESS. The cost for the course materials for this class is $tba. The electronic course materials will be available to students in Canvas when the course begins. Students will be billed for tuition, fees, and required course materials.
Students may choose to attend this type of class in-person on BRCCs campus or synchronously online via Zoom during the scheduled dates and times of the class. Students who attend synchronously via Zoom may need a webcam and microphone for video and audio capabilities. Faculty may choose dates where in-person instruction is required. Students may be required to take at least one proctored assessment, faculty will inform students of the proctored assessment requirements in the syllabus and class notes.
