- MTH 155 - Statistical Reasoning
- Presents elementary statistical methods and concepts including visual data presentation, descriptive statistics, probability, estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation and linear regression. Emphasis is placed on the development of statistical thinking, simulation, and the use of statistical software. Credit will not be awarded for both MTH 155: Statistical Reasoning and MTH 245: Statistics I or equivalent. This is a Passport and UCGS transfer course.Lecture 3 hours, Total 3 hours per week.

This course is part of a project called Follett ACCESS. The cost for the course materials for this class is $99.99. The electronic course materials will be available to students in Canvas when the course begins. Students will be billed for tuition, fees, and required course materials. This course will consist of asynchronous online, anytime coursework, AND one or both of the following scheduled on campus in-person meetings and/or virtual meetings via Zoom. Faculty will inform students about the in-person, Zoom, and Online dates required in the syllabus and class notes. Students may be required to take at least one proctored assessment, faculty will inform students of the proctored assessment requirements in the syllabus and class notes. Instructors may require a webcam and microphone for audio and video capabilities. This class will meet in person on the scheduled days and times, and attendance is required. There will not be a Zoom option for class. Students will be required to complete proctored assessments during class times. No webcam/microphone is required for the course | |||||||

Instructors may require a webcam and microphone for audio and video capabilities. Asynchronous classes may require a proctored exam from the Testing Center or another location. Students may be able to choose an optional remote proctoring service which requires a student fee. |
