- Introduces the purpose and historical background of embalming. Teaches the ethics and sanitary consideration in the handling of human remains, signs and tests of deaths, and postmortem changes in the body.Lecture 3 hours per week.

This class offers in-person meetings on the Chester campus and meetings via Zoom. Students are required to attend classes on-campus (dates will be added and Students will be notified via email) and weekly via Zoom on the specified days and times (Thursdays 9 am - 11:50 am). Reliable internet access and a Zoom-capable device are required for synchronous instruction. Pre-requisite: sophomore standing and Full acceptance in Funeral Services Program.
