The Career Studies Certificate in Career Studies Certificate in Electricity-Electrician Assistant is part of the Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician program at Eastern Shore Community College

Purpose: The Career Studies Certificate in Electricity Entry Level Electrician Assistant builds on the Electricity, Electricians Helper CSC, creating a pathway to an Associate of Applied Science degree. Writing and math courses develop additional knowledge and skills preferred by employers. It is the second level on the pathway to an Associate of Applied Science degree in Technical Studies. This provides students multiple access and completion opportunities so they can more quickly enter the workforce and advance their knowledge and skills in the field of electricity.

Program Requirements and Special Conditions: Students must meet ESCC admission requirements. New students should see a counselor and returning students their advisor for more information.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
? Use electrical equipment safely and appropriately.
? Apply National Electrical Code to industrial and residential wiring.
? Apply fundamental electrical theory to electrical and industrial wiring.
