The Career Studies Certificate in Certificate in Career Studies-Automotive Technology: Diesel Basic Repair is part of the Diesel Mechanics Technology/Technician program at Germanna Community College

The curriculum is designed to meet the need for trained diesel mechanics and to introduce the fundamentals of diesel equipment repair and provide instruction in hydraulic systems, diesel engine overhaul, and tune-up and braking systems. The curriculum provides practical training and the option of on-the-job experience through cooperative education. Graduates will gain a basic background in diesel equipment technology principles.
