The Industrial/Structural Certificate?s purpose is to provide the graduate with the skills to enter either the fabrication or structural aspect of welding. Fabricators build items ranging from sheet metal toolboxes to heavy equipment such as cranes and rail cars. Structural welders build structures such as buildings and bridges. Maintenance welding is often a combination of the two areas. Students also learn safety, occupational related English and math, metallurgy, and blueprint reading.
