ENG 279-40YM considers film as an art form that takes us into other worlds and into other hearts and minds. We leave those worlds with a better understanding of each other, the world we live in, and maybe ourselves. The course also explores the art of adapting literature to film. How can the world that a literary work conjures come alive on the screen? What is left out, what is added, and why?
