MUS 147 - Applied Music Composition
Teaches the fundamentals of music composition, including score notation software. Introduces basic manipulation of melodic and motivic composition devices, conscious use of texture, and basic knowledge of orchestration.

MUS147 Composition: Classical, Jazz, and Pop. For all applied private music lessons at Loudoun, sign up for the instructor who teaches the instrument you wish to learn. First lesson must occur during the first week of class. Applied music lessons have a fee in addition to tuition: 100 Level, 1 credit hour classes $450 per semester, for a total of 7.5 hours. These fees will not be refunded after the census date.
