No prerequisites for 130. 130/131 are combined. An introduction to the fundamental techniques of video production through demonstrations, lectures, screenings, and hands-on use of video cameras. Introduces preproduction planning, editing, sound design, and output, as well as concepts of time-based media. As of Fall 2023, Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions are no longer offered for free through NOVA. Students need to purchase their own license for successful completion of the course work. Fifteen Week Hybrid Course 50% of class time meets in person, on campus; students are expected to attend class in person on the days and times listed on the schedule. 50% of class work is completed online, independently, via CANVAS. Reliable internet access and a computer are required. |
