Major: Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice at Piedmont Virginia Community College


The Associate of Applied Science in Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice is part of the Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration program at Piedmont Virginia Community College

The curriculum has two primary purposes: (1) to prepare the student for career services in law enforcement and related occupations, and (2) to provide the first two years of an academic foundation for transfer into a four-year liberal arts program or professional degree program in the discipline. This curriculum is applicable to both the preparatory student and the experienced officer. This program serves as career development for individuals seeking positions such as commercial and industrial security officer; local, state, or federal law enforcement officer; police officer; private or government investigator; or corrections officer.
