- Provides an introduction to the use of geothermal energy as it applies to electricians. Introduces geothermal system design installation, and maintenance. Focuses on site surveys, soil types, header design, loop types, pump sizing, flushing and purging. Introduces the feasibility of heat pump applications for local uses on an individual basis. Includes safety training.Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
