The Career Studies Certificate in Off-Shore Wind Energy Technician introduces students to the theory of
operating a large commercial wind turbine. Students will be exposed to the mechanical and electrical
components of the system and will learn how programmable logic controllers direct the operation of a
wind turbine. The capstone class will provide students with hands-on experience in operating a wind
turbine simulator and troubleshooting wind turbine issues.
