- Studies the principles of visual communications as applied to advertising in newspapers, magazines, direct mail advertising, house organs, etc. Analyzes the influence of contemporary art on design. Part I of II.Lecture 2 hours. Studio instruction 2-4 hours. Total 4-6 hours per week.

Attendance at live online class meetings is required only on specific Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. as communicated by the instructor. These meetings will be held via Zoom or other application designated by the instructor. Students must login to Canvas regularly to check for course announcements, complete assignments, check grades and feedback, and participate in any other course activities required by the instructor.
