The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) program in Professional Nursing is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills required for entry-level registered nurses. Students who successfully complete program requirements and attain licensure as registered nurses are prepared to enter the workforce as members of the healthcare team in physician's offices, clinics, hospitals, long term care facilities, and mental health facilities. While designed to prepare graduates for immediate entry into the workforce, the program is articulated with select four-year institutions to benefit those seeking baccalaureate-level study in the field.
