Purpose: The Industrial Technology Career Studies Certificate (CSC) prepares students who are planning to work as Entry Level Technicians in industrial operations: building and maintaining equipment and systems that are controlled by electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical devices. The CSC is the first level of a three-level pathway to the Industrial Technology Certificate and then to the Associate in Applied Science degree in Technical Studies. This provides students multiple access and completion opportunities so they can more quickly enter the workforce and advance their knowledge and skills in the field of electricity.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
Identify typical tools and uses of a variety of devices including precision measurement.
Perform basic welding techniques.
Use refrigeration knowledge as learned for EPA Certification.
Assist in electrical tasks.
Realize the importance of safety in the industrial environment.
Understand principles of measurement and calibration.
